CALIBANO #2 (Published: November 2023)
The Effequ publishing house releases a collection of essays for each Teatro dell'Opera di Roma season, each thematically aligned with the stage play. Giulio Paolini always illustrates the title page, while AI artists are approached for interior illustrations.
In November 2023, for the opera "Mefistofele" (by Arrigo Boito), Effequ issued a series of essays on posthumanism. I was invited to design the interior images.
Enthralled by AI, the Faust and Mephistopheles themes, and a passion for Dadaist collage, I eagerly accepted. Collaborating with the editors, we chose a Dadaist collage style (also as a meta-irony. The artwork resulted from a synergy between myself and AI (DALL-E 3 and MidJourney).
