Institute for Media Archaeology in St. Pölten, Austria organized a symposium "Reenacting Darmouth", almost 70 years after that famous workshop in Dartmouth, the birthday of Artificial Intelligence as concept.
In a full-packed programme, artists, writers, scientists explored, discussed and scrutinized AI as system, as concept, as ensamble of approaches.

Als Fortsetzung der Workshopreihe (Dezember 2024) fanden weitere Veranstaltungen an drei gymnasialen Oberstufen in Frankfurt statt: Liebig-Schule, Goethe-Gymnasium, Friedrich-Dessauer-Gymnasium . Dort wurde das Konzept der kreativen Arbeit mit Künstlicher Intelligenz in den Unterricht integriert. Die Schülerinnen und Schüler erhielten die Möglichkeit, eigene KI-basierte Kunstwerke zu entwickeln, dabei kritisch über Ästhetik, Urheberschaft und Originalität nachzudenken und die Potenziale dieser Technologie im künstlerischen Prozess zu erkunden.
As a continuation of the December series, workshops (incl. Exhibition) were held at three upper secondary schools in Frankfurt, where students explored creative AI art, authorship, and aesthetics.

Die Stadtbücherei Frankfurt (Digitale Dienste und Bibliothekspädagogik) bot drei kostenlose Workshops zur kreativen Nutzung von KI in der Bildgestaltung an. Ziel war es, Menschen zwischen 15 und 99 Jahren zu befähigen, eigenständige, abstrakte und subversive Werke jenseits gängiger KI-Kitsch-Ästhetik zu schaffen. Die Teilnehmenden arbeiteten mit Open-Source-KI-Tools, erstellten mehrere Bilder und wählten am Ende ein einziges Werk für eine gemeinsame Ausstellung (11.12.2024) aus; die übrigen wurden gelöscht. Nach der Präsentation konnten die Werke mit nach Hause genommen werden. Die entstandenen Arbeiten zeigten persönliche, träumerische und individuelle Perspektiven auf KI-Kunst und belegten die kreative Vielfalt dieser Form des künstlerischen Ausdrucks.
The Frankfurt City Library organized free AI art workshops empowering participants aged 15–99 to create unique, abstract works beyond mainstream AI aesthetics, culminating in a public exhibition.

I took part as a keynote speaker in a conference called "Aesthetics of Digital Image Synthesis" at Universität Klagenfurt, with inspiring contributions by Lev Manovich, Anna Schober, Schober de Graaf, Jacob Birken, and many other brilliant participants. Very important that the contents and aesthetics of generative media are explored.
